A recap of the latest episode of CCFC’s Rise and Shine Facebook Live series
By Niko Moniz, facilities services coordinator & Rise and Shine host
Have you ever wondered exactly what Christian Children’s Fund of Canada (CCFC) does and how we do it? Our Facebook Live! Series Rise and Shine will answer those questions.
On our last episode, we celebrated Christmas at CCFC. Sharon Caddy, a CCFC volunteer ambassador, joined us to discuss her recent trip to our program areas, and we even gave a behind-the-scenes look at how CCFC employees deck the halls for the holidays.
Here’s what you missed — read about it or watch below.
Talking Christmas with our volunteer CCFC ambassador (Watch below at 00:36 seconds)
I sat down with Sharon Caddy, our volunteer ambassador, and we talked about all things Christmas — from her favourite Christmas song to the best part of the holidays. We even sampled holiday treats.
Checking out CCFC’s holiday decorations (Watch below at 04:13 minutes)
At CCFC, we love to decorate for the holidays, so we gave a behind-the-scenes look at our decorating party. Listen in as an employee tells us his favourite Christmas movie. Is it Elf, Rudolph, or another great movie? Tune in to find out.
Our ambassador talks about meeting her sponsored child (Watch below at 09:03 minutes)
Sharon Caddy, our volunteer ambassador, shares memories from her recent trip to Paraguay to meet her sponsored child, Liz. She saw communities where CCFC is working with children and families to improve access to education, healthcare and nutrition.
Stay tuned for a video halfway through the interview. It shows Sharon’s journey to meet Liz. Watch to see how sponsorship makes a difference.
What’s happening on our next episode?
Tuesday Jan. 30 at 10:30 a.m. (Facebook) we’ll be back with the first Rise and Shine episode of 2018. Expect surprises as we anticipate another great year at CCFC.
In the meantime, watch the complete video from our last episode.
See you next time!
